Renalzin contains the phosphorus binder lanthanum carbonate and is specifically formulated for cats. Renalzin works by reducing the uptake of excess phosphorus in the diet. Controlling phosphorus helps to protect the kidneys and slow the progression of kidney disease. Renalzin is an easy to administer paste available in a convenient pump applicator. It can be dispensed directly onto the food, or mixed into it. Add to wet or dry food Neutral taste and odourless Renalzin does not change the flavour of food, so your cat can enjoy his/her normal diet. Flexible use Renalzin can be given once or twice daily according to your cat’s preferred feeding pattern. Renalzin also contains the toxin binder kaolin and the antioxidant vitamin E. The recommended daily dose of vitamin E is provided with administration of Renalzin. Chronic kidney disease is a long-term condition but with proper management, cats can live long and happy lives. Ask your veterinarian to check for kidney disease, the earlier it is detected and treated, the better.
