Royal Canin is only sold through veterinary surgeries and specialist pet retailers so Vet Medic customers can rest assured that they are getting the right advice from our professionals to ensure your cat or dog is receiving the correct diet. Every Royal Canin diet has a feeding guide based on pet specifics, including age, weight and activity of the pet. Growing dogs and cats should be fed the appropriate amount based on their expected adult bodyweight. It is therefore important that pets are weighed regularly so that their food intake can be monitored effectively.
At Vet Medic, we recommend that any pet be introduced on to Royal Canin gradually in order to help avoid the possibility of gastrointestinal upset. For the first two or three days, we advise a mix of 25% Royal Canin and 75% of a pet’s old diet. After which, each diet should be mixed 50% and 50% for another two to three days and then 75% Royal Canin for two or three days before finally feeding your dog or cat 100% of its new diet with Royal Canin.
Royal Canin is available in a multitude of offerings. Feel free to browse and ask the Vet Medic team any questions you may have.
